Federica Montanaro

EIHRSDS Project Assistant

Federica Montanaro is a graduate student at the Master of Arts in International Security Studies offered jointly by the School of International Studies of the University of Trento and the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa.

Federica has previously worked as a Project Assistant at "Women for Collective Identities/ Peace, Security and Identitary Cuisine", a project run by the NGO Mediterranean Perspectives and financed by the Italian Ministry of Foreing Affairs and International Cooperation and at “Ponza Prima Med” (sustainable and green development) run by the NGO Italian Network for the Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue (RIDE-APS).

At the Sant'Anna School, she is currently working as Research Assistant for the project CBRN-ITALY funded under the Italian PRIN programme.

She is also interested in human security perspectives in the Latin American region, and she has recently published on the research blog Security Praxis an analysis of the repression of the 2020 Chilean Social Movements based on a gender and security theoretical backing .
